Travel General
Below are independent travel sites, that bring you a variety of information and helpful things for all sorts of travelers.

Compass Magazine
Compass magazine was started because we couldn’t find comfortable literature about living and traveling abroad. There was plenty of stuff for the poor and eager backpacker, the mountain man, or the blithe jet setter, but nothing for all of them at once. So we came up with a simple idea: provide informative, evocative stories to help people better understand the places they travel, whether they’re flying first-class or hitchhiking to get there.

Cruiser Log
Cruising aboard their own cruising yacht, a 44' steel ketch, for five years and realized the need for a 'one-stop' boating resource where cruising sailors (and those in armchairs who 'dream' of the open ocean) can find as much information as possible on cruising, sailing, circumnavigating or crewing offshore. "Cruiser Log" strives towards that goal and they welcome input for consideration to make it the resource that you, the cruiser, needs and wants in order to 'cast off the lines' and set sail around the world on your voyage of a lifetime. Read the narratives, passage reports and sailing logs from cruising yachts at sea to see how they are doing it.
